Recipe Assignment

1. Pick a recipe. The recipe must have at least 5 ingredients. At least 2 of the 5 ingredients must have fractions.
2. On your blog, you will list the ingredients, how many people it serves (serving size), and how to prepare it.
3. You are then going to change the serving size. Make sure you specify in your blog the original and new serving sizes. Do all the math on regular paper first!!!! You must turn this paper in!!!
  • You will change the amount of ingredients so that your recipe will now serve twice (double) the number of people. For example, if the recipe you found serves four people, you will have to multiply all your ingredients by 2. If it says 3 cups of milk----it will become six cups of milk. Be careful with the fractions!!!!!
  • You will change the amount of ingredients again but this time your recipe should serve half the original number of people. You will divide all your ingredients by 2 ( or multiply by 1/2). 3 cups of milk----- becomes 1 1/2 cups of milk.
4. Comment on this post when you have completed your assignment. Thanks:) You will have a chance to share your creation with us for EXTRA CREDIT!!! I will give you a date when I come back. Have a wonderful week!!!!!
